Converging evidence from preclinical models, the operating room, and real patient data
Four lines of evidence
Our program has been de-risked before ever entering human clinical trials.
Our evidence spans preclinical models, the operating room, and real patient data. That breadth is possible only because our team combines engineering, opioid pharmacology, statistics, and medicine. Clinical trials are next.

Human neural signals
Brain recordings show our product eliminated opioid-induced neural signals in real time.

Real-world clinical evidence
Real-world surgical records show our product delivers clear clinical benefits to patients.

Preclinical models
Mouse models show our product eliminates opioid-induced reward behaviors.

Clinical trials
Prospective clinical trials are designed to show our product delivers opioid-level pain relief without the risk of addiction.
01 · Human neural signals
Watching the brain’s response to opioids in real time
Our founding lab is a world leader in analyzing neural signals recorded during surgery and anesthesia. We used that expertise to identify opioid-induced neural signals in the human brain and to track them as they happen.
In these studies, our product eliminated those opioid-induced neural signals in real time.

What we found
Brain recordings show our product eliminated opioid-induced neural signals in real time.
02 · Real-world clinical evidence
Clear clinical benefits in real surgical patients
We extracted surgical records spanning multiple years from a large academic health system to study how our approach affects real patients recovering from surgery.
Using causal-inference methods built for observational data, our team found clear clinical benefits for patients, grounding the design of our clinical program in real-world practice rather than theory alone.

What we found
Real-world surgical records show our product delivers clear clinical benefits to patients.
03 · Preclinical models
Confirmed in established models of reward and addiction
We tested our product in standard mouse models of reward and addiction, the same behavioral assays used across the field to measure the addictive potential of a drug.
Across these models, our product eliminated opioid-induced reward behaviors, confirming in preclinical models what we observed in patients and in the human brain.

What we found
Mouse models show our product eliminates opioid-induced reward behaviors.
04 · Clinical trials
Now moving into prospective human studies
With evidence from real-world records, human neural signals, and preclinical models in hand, we are advancing our product into clinical trials.
These prospective studies are designed to demonstrate in patients that our product delivers opioid-level pain relief without the risk of addiction, the two outcomes that define our mission.

What comes next
Prospective clinical trials are designed to show our product delivers opioid-level pain relief without the risk of addiction.
